This is my tabletop garden – Doraemon Bonsai. Yes, it doesn’t look like anything close to those elegant oriental potted trees that we usually call as bonsai. But since bonsai is the art of recreating the beautiful scenery we find in nature in pots and trays, I really do think that this is a bonsai, for it is reliving a scene in the nature (of Doraemon’s world) 🙂
You can visit Happy Bonsai for more about bonsai and this tabletop garden – Doraemon Bonsai.
I love these mini tabletop garden you do. I love anything miniature!
Doraemon was my daughter’s favourite cartoon character. She still has a Doraemon piggy bank. I never really knew Doraemon’s story until you tell it today. It’s good that you included it in this post. Now I want to be Doraemon and I also want your tabletop bonsai!
Louise – Same here! Miniaturized version makes it possible for us, who have no garden, to grow plants that were once too big to be grown in our balcony or on our tabletop.
Autumn Belle – Haha! Can tell that a good mommy you are, Belle 😀
Such a wonderful idea! Looks like you are making good use of those moss too. I like this idea very much. Glad that I dropped by. Happy gardening bonsai Sandy!
Thanks Stephanie. Moss is wonderful, isn’t it? 😉
I’m really loving these table top gardens. Can you tell me where I can get a container like that? (i’m in the uk). I would love to try and make one for my mum.
Thanks 🙂
Hi Seema, sorry, but I don’t know where in UK these containers are available. I bought them in Hong Kong, where I am living right now.
